Work Ethic

Capitalistic work ethic: You control everything about your outcome. Make it happen.

Unless you don't believe in God or any higher power, this definition is incomplete and wrong. It's motivating but wrong. We have responsibility to work and work hard. To work smart and wring ourselves out through our work. The outcome is determined by external factors beyond our control in many situations, but these excuses don't remove any responsibility to run our batteries all the way to 0%. The result of our work does matter; it simply gives us direction on what to do next.
By realizing the ultimate outcome is outside our control, it makes us grateful and prevents pride from clouding judgement when our work is praised. It also provides hope when depression wants to set in because our work creates poor results.

You should go to bed every night exhausted.

Stay on the grind, it's your responsibility to your design.
