Survival of the fittest is very inhuman at its core. I (as well as many others) have discovered competition is a great tool...as long as it's end goal is to strengthen a team and or community. Healthy competition is a good way of life. Inordinately for humans, the survival of your mate, child, or close friend can be just as important as your own survival.
